- Tested railroad crossing software for safety critical updates using train simulator and data analyzing tools. Created and documented wide range of test cases including specific edge cases. - Designed and implemented complex, system-level filter algorithms to block the display of various entities on a graphical map display for a Joint STARS system.- Wrote code to incorporate new hardware into the Joint STARS Health and BIT subsystem. Also created software to emulate hardware failures for operator training.- Wrote application and database management code to add email and internet access to the Joint STARS platform. Also wrote bash scripts to change configuration parameters, extract device status, and capture and cleanup logs from the various components of the Joint STARS Beyond Line of Site (BLOS) network. - Implemented Technical Change Network Orders (TCNOs) for Windows and Red Hat operating systems in the BLOS network (patch installation and anti-virus updates). - Solved legacy software problems and implemented upgrades for the Joint STARS maintenance program. - Created data insertion, analysis, and capture tool for a successful radar detection and identification demonstration mission on the Joint STARS program.- Designed and coded communication for a control handover interface between Joint STARS planes. This involved sending and receiving a series of JTIDS messages between planes with operator input. Guided four software engineers in this task.- Participated in numerous peer reviews as moderator, author, or reviewer.

- Designed, wrote, and tested Tactical Information Broadcast Service (TIBS) message processing software for a software-defined radio program. This software allowed the radio to be a receiver, a data provider, or a master controller. Traveled to DET2 in Texas for precertification testing. Led team of six software engineers.- Coded, tested, and integrated SATCOM Control Software for the Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) waveforms for Digital Modular Radio program. Rewrote the existing ranging algorithm to increase accuracy and efficiency.

- Performed preliminary design, detailed design, code, test, and integration of command for Control and Intelligence (C2I) TADIL-J message processing software. This includes: Coordinate Attack Planning, Surveillance and Control Datalink (SCDL) Uplink and Downlink Managers, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Message Encoding, and Voice Communication Management Background Function Controller for the Joint STARS Surveillance Plane development, upgrade, and maintenance programs.- Wrote and resolved software trouble reports for all areas of Joint STARS.

- Performed requirements analysis and preliminary design of utility and relational database software for the Voice Switching & Air Traffic Control System for the Federal Aviation Administration.

- Designed, coded, and tested software for a database generator and editor and an event processor application in a monitoring and control system for nuclear power plants. Project leader of six for database executive unit and miscellaneous custom man-machine interface software.

- Performed software development life cycle for Automatic Flight Control, Communications, Built-in-Test/Redundancy Management, and Navigation Subsystems for a fully automated attack helicopter. Also wrote test programs to determine the accuracy of the implementation of the Doppler navigation formulas.
