Following seven years at CommPac, Rigg Communications reopened in April 2023 and began its second chapter. Current client work includes strategic marketing and communications for Wahiawā Health, public relations support for First Insurance, and media relations for the launch of Fish Pono-Save Our Reefs, a community awareness campaign to bring understanding of the importance of replenishing herbivore fish populations to foster healthy coral reefs. My objective at Rigg Communications is to work collaboratively with clients that have shared values and are committed to making a difference in our communities socially, economically, and personally.My journey at CommPac provided the opportunity to lead and manage daily client account services including strategic communications, public relations, community engagement, marketing, branding, grassroots campaigns, event marketing, editorial boards, and crisis communications. I provided strategic counsel for clients in a wide range of fields including healthcare, insurance, education, hospitality, restaurants, retail, fitness, and nonprofit organizations, including Wahiawā Community Health Center, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Education Institute of Hawaii, Carbon Lighthouse, ProService Hawaii, and McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work on special event planning, publicity and execution of the Washington Place 175th Anniversary, the Make-A-Wish Hawaii 40th Anniversary and launching the prolific book “Paddling the Outrigger,” written by the late Dr. Richard Kelley.

Currently I am working with Wahiawa Health and First Insurance Company as well as confidential clients.Before joining CommPac as an account director in April 2016, I served as president and owner of my own marketing consulting company, Rigg Communications.Since Rigg Communications opened its doors in 2009, I oversaw and directed all activities, including advertising collateral production, event marketing and public relations for clients such as P.F. Chang’s Waikiki, Kapolei Commons Shopping Center, Kona Commons Shopping Center and Lorna Jane Active Living.Before starting Rigg Communications, I supervised and developed effective brand strategies and public relations tactics for the successful launch of national brands entering the Hawaii market, including Starbucks, Jamba Juice, P.F. Chang’s and Lorna Jane.Along with planning and executing events to strengthen brand awareness and increase sales, I also managed the grand openings of more than 90 new Starbucks and Jamba Juice store locations in Hawaii. In 2014 I launched the Lorna Jane active wear brand in Hawaii, with the store opening at Ala Moana Center and the same year, provided grand opening strategic communications for Lean808, a fast paced high intensity, interval and resistance training fitness concept.My experience includes restaurant and quick-service industry, tourism and hospitality, education, development, energy efficiency, health care and fitness. I served as the director of public relations at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel and assisted in hotel communications and public relations for the Sheraton Moana Surfrider, Kona Village and Kona Surf Resort.I graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, specializing in public relations. I enjoy supporting Diamond Head Theatre and Manoa Valley Theatre, staying active on my Peloton bike and early morning Koko Head hikes.

Launched the Starbucks brand in Hawaii in 1996. Began with grassroots, guerrilla marketing, event sponsorship with product sampling (i.e.: introduction of Starbucks Frappuccino at local events), media events and strong community relations program focusing on culture & the arts, the environment, AIDS and literacy.

Supervised the advertising aspects for several of Honolulu’s top accounts including Blockbuster Video, Prince Resorts, Davidoff of Geneva, Hawaiian Regent Hotel, Kona Surf Resort and Kona Village Resort.
