For nearly 20 years I have specialized in the area of SAP Basis, SAP Netweaver administration and Oracle database Administration. I have worked as the technical lead during SAP and database implementations and upgrades along with continuing to support SAP applications hosted on Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers utilizing Oracle, SapDB, Sybase, and DB2 databases. I have lead technical project teams, created technical project plans, and executed many technical implementations, migrations, and upgrades successfully on time and within budget many times offering many cost saving solutions. My ideal position would be working as a SAP Technical lead mentoring junior level administrators while leading technical implementations and upgrades.     As a senior basis administrator for Tech Data I was responsible for connecting the entire U.S. SAP landscape to Solution Manager 7.1. The SAP Global landscape consisted of the following system types –SAP R/3, SAP SCM, SAP FSCM, SAP GRC, SAP ECC, SAP BW SAP Live Cache. Tech data utilizes DB2, Oracle, and MAXDB as their database platforms across both AIX and Windows operating systems. I was responsible for creating the company’s master SLD within Solution Manger – this housed the entire SAP landscape instance specifications defined by all connected systems. I was also responsible for the Installation and configuration of all related SAP agents – Wily, Diagnostic, SAPCCM4X, CCMSPING and SAPHOSTEXEC on approximately 80 servers. I configured the automatic weekly generation of SAP Early Watch reporting for all connected SAP instances. In addition, I setup the forwarding via email of the generated Early Watch reports for administrators and managers broken down by specific instance type. I setup the system monitoring module of solution manager for all connected instances. I also setup the solution manager system as the global statistic monitoring instance and global tracing instance. I configured CCMS monitoring and alerting utilizing the SAP Solution manager system as the central dispatching system. Lastly, in addition to my primary responsibility setting up the Solution Manager instance which allowed Tech Data the ability to receive the prestigious Center of Excellence certification. I also upgraded their HR 4.7 Windows / Oracle 11 system to ERP / ECC 6.0 enhancement package 5.

This responsibility included but was not limited to system monitoring and performance review, system upgrades, support package installations, kernel upgrades, database upgrades, system installations, system refreshes, along with system support.The SAP Global landscape consisted of the following system types –ERP/ECC 6.0, R/3 4.6 BW/BI 7.0 PI 7.1 PLM/cFolders 4.5 GTS 7.0SCM 5.1CRM 2007Solution Manager 4.0GRC 5.2KproTrexThe primary database software at CommScope is Oracle and most of the systems are either HP Unix or Linux. Two exceptions to this would be Kpro (SAPDB) and Trex which runs on Windows servers. Each of the different SAP system types listed above includes at minimum the standard landscape of development, test/quality assurance, and production. While at CommScope I had completed several system upgrades including CRM 4.0 → CRM 5.0 → CRM 2007. I also migrated the CRM system from Redhat 32 bit Linux to HPUX 64 bit. I had installed the three system landscape for Netweaver PI 7.1, GRC, and cFolders. I had upgraded both the CRM and BW landscapes from Oracle 9.2.0.4 to Oracle 10.2.0.2. I upgraded the Solution Manager system from 3.2 to 4.0. I had migrated the SAP Content Server / Kpro landscape to an entire new set of hardware. I had also installed the three system landscape for Trex.

I also maintained a SAP Solution Manager 3.2 on HP UNX/Oracle, a SAP TREX server on Windows 2003 server, SAP IDES 7.0 on HP UNIX/Oracle and lastly a SAP Knowledge Warehouse Server version 6.0 with 6.20 Kernel on Windows 2000 / Oracle.I was responsible for the design, implementation and support of the overall technical infrastructure which included but was not limited to the system and client landscape, disk and network capacity requirements, installation and upgrade of the SAP software and the database management system, multiple national languages, database backup and recovery, database reorganization, disaster recovery planning and implementation, ongoing system maintenance, system operations, application security and user maintenance, Correction and Transport system, performance monitoring and tuning, interface planning and implementation, application data archival, integration of SAP with office automation products such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes, configuration for communication with other SAP and non-SAP systems, printing infrastructure, web and e-commerce technologies, front-end desktop and end-user support.
