My name is Sherri Cook and my passion is helping people be the best they can be. I possess 30+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry; 20+ of those years, as an HR professional. My HR experiences include: leading college recruiting and staffing efforts at 20 colleges and universities across the US (interns and new hires), developing and implementing supervisory training programs to further employee development and engagement, and being an HR business partner. In these roles, I have utilized knowledge gained from certifications in Training & Development, Aptitude and Skills Assessment, Targeted Selection, Myers Briggs Type Indicators, and Principled Centered Leadership to coach and mentor professionals at all levels in organizations. When I retired from the corporate world, I joined The University of Texas at Dallas. At UTD, I trained, coached, and prepared college students (from freshmen to MBA) for the transition from college to a professional career. In my current role, at Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas, I oversee the development, management, and implementation of all outreach programs for young girls.
