I work for the Alamance County Sheriff's Office but I am housed at the Family Justice Center. The center provides services for victim's of domestic violence. On June 24th our center began doing "e-filing" with protective orders. Basically what this means is the victim can obtain a domestic violence protective order without ever leaving the safety of the Family Justice Center via video conferencing with the judge.
