Dynamic professional with extensive experience in affordable housing and community development, spanning senior management and executive roles across the nonprofit, governmental, and educational sectors. Serving as a project manager and financial packager, my expertise in real estate development and financing have resulted in the creation and/or preservation of 3000+ affordable multifamily and single-family units over the course of my career. I have an in-depth understanding of Public Housing Authority operations, HCV program management, demonstrated by elevating Orange County's SEMAP score from 59 to 89 in one year; and redevelopment strategies such as RAD. I am deeply committed to advancing social justice and advocating for low-income individuals and disenfranchised communities. My work has taken me across diverse regions in the US, including Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, the Texas-Mexico border, and Indian Country. This breadth of experience has provided me with a deep understanding of housing and community development needs in both urban and rural settings, as well as with a broad array of constituencies.Selected Career Highlights and Accomplishments:•Presenter, HUD Richmond Field Office - All-Grantees Meeting, March 2024 Presented on "Aligning Resources: Utilizing New Tools to Further Affordable Housing".•Two-Time Panelist, Woman in Construction: Building Beyond Boundaries Conference. •Successfully led the City of Richmond’s Housing and Community Development Department in management of $67,000,000 in Federal and local funding over the last three years.•Successfully led the City of Richmond’s Housing and Community Development Department in meeting the Mayor’s goal of 1000 new affordable housing units created and/or preserved in 2022, 2023, and 2024.•Presenter, 2021 Governor’s Housing Conference, Norfolk, VA. Panel topic: “Moving to Equity and Inclusion: A New Master Plan – The Richmond 300 and the Removal of Zoning Barriers by Expanding By-Right Uses”. (I developed the presentation proposal and served as the project team lead). •Procured over $102,300,000 for communities and clients served as it relates to affordable housing development and/or preservation, as well as construction of public facilities. •Four-time recipient of the “Grants Person of the Year” Award at Johnson C.
