Primarily responsible for analyzing and making recommendations regarding the solution of complex problems related to the configuration, development, implementation and administration of the McKesson Horizon Enterprise Financial Management system. Responsible for patches and upgrades.

Performed data analysis for financial reporting. Responsibilities included: data verification, data problem resolution and report creation based on user requests.

Managed day-to-day operations of computer systems and servers, prioritizing end user requests to ensure success in meeting crucial publication deadlines. Supervised up to seven-member staff; oversaw hiring, training, mentoring, performance, and corrective actions when necessary. Interfaced with cross-functional departmental teams and outside vendors for system purchasing and maintenance. Administered IS budget, including budget and purchasing analysis. Documented all troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.

Full responsibility for upgrades, patches, bug reporting, user problems, and security. Spearheaded and managed installations of new systems and interfaces. T1, T2 and T3 support. Managed IT department when IT Director was unavailable. Purchased software and managed vendor 3rd party software vendor relationships. Trained night staff, back up to night staff, and documentation.Systems Administered: Classified Ad Management, Classified Ad Pagination, Admission (e-commerce) SBS Financial, Kronos Workforce Central and Kronos Gatekeeper.

Directed all aspects of installing the Publishing Business Systems (PBS) circulation software at newspaper sites throughout Canada and the United States. Managed complete project life cycle from meeting with publisher, directors, and lead staff to determine necessary functionalities to taking the site live after comprehensive user training.

Originally hired to program conversions at newspaper sites that had purchased the PBS system. Promoted to more specialized position, traveling to locations worldwide to implement and program more complex software systems.

Responsible for upgrades, software support, T1, T2 and T3 support. Duties included interfaces, month end as well as financial reporting. Managed 3 employees.
