My name is Sherry Winn Beale (Sherry Kay Winn), I was born June 29, 1979. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Heath, since August 2, 2014. I had my one and only baby boy, Charlie, on September 23, 2018. I have 4 step kids, Tristan, Jordan, Logan, and Landan. I’ve lived in Alberta, VA most of my life and purchased the house beside my parents, Betty and Douglas Winn, which I grew up in. I have 2 older sisters, Rhonda Winn Hohman and Susan Winn Shomo. I have 2 nieces, Lele, and Susie!!! I modeled when I was attending Brunswick High School. I lived in Greenville, NC where I attended East Carolina University for four years(1997-2001). I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education. I moved to New Bern, NC to teach at Pollocksville Elementary School for 7 years. I moved back to VA to be closer to my family and friends. I am currently working as a 1st grade teacher in North Carolina. I am a very hard worker, I work well with others and the public, I am a fast learner, I love children, and I am a people person. I am always up for a challenge!

We used the Accelerated Reader Program, Interactive Achievement Program, and the Study Island Programs on the computer. I volunteered for school dances and after school activities, including after school tutoring. I took and sent written attendance and ice cream orders to the office. I graded papers, attended teacher workshops, used an overhead projector, copier, and a Smart Board. I took and picked up students from special classes and buses to and from our classroom. I called parents and sent notes home, met and had conferences with the reading specialist, students, parents, and the principal and team teachers on the student of the month, student behavior, grades, progress, progress reports, improvements, possible retaining students, and testing results. I collected monies for fund raisers, field trips, and school pictures. The principal would come in and assess my teaching techniques. I have great classroom management skills and I am an effective teacher. My Third grade class had the highest percentage of passing grades on the SOL tests out of the two Third grade classrooms that taught Reading and Social Studies. I am very proud of all of my students!
