My name is Sherry Clyburn. I am a 52-year-old mother of three adult children, and a grandmother of ten. I am a survivor of childhood abuse which spiraled into a long relationship with a man who introduced me to a life filled with domestic violence, and I also became a non-offending mother of a sexually abused child.I am developing two books. Originally I had planned to produce one; however circumstances led me to do a second. Shadows of Silence: Book One is an autobiography of my life. Shadows of Silence:Book Two is an 850 page FREE e-book that will be given as a bonus to those who buy Book 1. This book has testimonies from men and women who have also endured the various types of abuse. The authors are from many parts of the world, from many age groups, and from many walks of life. Additionally, 15 percent of the profits from Book 1 will be donated to three organizations. The first is an outreach program for the homeless population. The second is an organization that walks sexually abused children through the court process. And the third is Canada's Kids Help Phone. When my daughter disclosed her abuse we lived in a small town that offered next to no resources catering to my needs. Digging for the help I needed overwhelmed me, and added my frustration and existing pain. Those times inspired me to create my books.
