As a certified veterinary technician, the duties involved all areas of this progressive small animal clinic range from client support and education to emergency and critical care. The veterinarians at this clinic practice ethical and compassionate medicine and the support staff all work with a passion for both the clients and their furry or feathered patients. Cats, dogs and small exotics (birds, reptiles/amphibians, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pocket pets) are all treated here in this full service clinic. I started working here as a relief technician many years ago and was invited on as a part time technician the summer of 2014.

Animal Inspirations was created so I could help people train their own companion animals (dogs, small pets and domestic farm animals) through gentle, humane training methods and to help organizations who work with clients with disabilities to implement Therapeutic Animal Programs designed to inspire / motivate their clients to attain their goals. As a Certified Veterinary Technician with over 3 decades of experience in a variety of clinical settings, I offer relief services for Veterinary Clinics during times of staff shortage. My veterinary skills have been a great asset when working with animals in all capacities-especially when you consider the extensive knowledge required to work with animals and people together, keeping all parties happy, healthy and safe. As a Therapy Animal Specialist, I raise, socialize, train and bring in registered Therapy Animals (dogs, rabbits, chickens and other domestic farm animals) to organizations seeking Therapeutic Animal Programs for their clients. I can help the organization design and implement the programming to meet their clients needs in a collaborative effort with their trained human service professionals.

As owner of Animal Inspirations LLC, I create and co-facilitate Animal Assisted Interventions for Therapeutic Animal Programming while also providing the Therapy Animals for the programming. I teach Therapy Animal classes and conduct Evaluations for new and renewing teams. I teach Professional Dog / Animal Training in both group and private lessons. I can help educate people about animals prior to a purchase.

As a certified veterinary technician in the arena of emergency and critical care- the responsibilities range from the triage of all calls/cases over the phone to the intake, treatment and nursing care of all patients, assisting the highly skilled and specialized veterinarians with all procedures, treatments, diagnostic procedures and surgeries and to assist every patient as they recover. Client support and education is a critical link to ensure their experience is as good as it can be under the circumstances, and that they are prepared to bring their pet home when it might still need some additional care. I loved working in this capacity and I believe strongly that it helped give me the foundation and skills I now utilize when developing and implementing the therapeutic animal programming to work with others striving to improve their lives.
