I am a born and raised Calgarian with a passion for our gorgeous and vibrant city. I love local restaurants, micro breweries, and live music in small venues.I’ve always loved to learn and experience new things and for that reason my desire to expand and grow has taken my career in many directions over the years. As a result, I can say with confidence I’m now an expert in effective communication, identifying problems and implementing solutions. I’m adaptive and collaborative because I listen to understand, not respond. I take pride in my work and hold myself to a very high standard of transparency and accountability in everything I do. The most rewarding roles in my career have been with local organizations that have a meaningful impact to our customers and where I can see the results unfold each day. I spent 5 years with The Calgary Herald, an iconic staple for thousands of Calgarians each morning, and over 7 years at the Shaw Communications headquarters in Calgary, providing cable, internet and media into homes across Canada. In my current role with HomeSpace, a non-profit real estate organization, I am privileged to collaborate with other passionate social agency partners and lead a team who support our marginalized population experience appropriate and affordable housing, with compassion and dignity.The common thread here is that I like to make a difference, be in the heart of the action and help others succeed.
