A lifelong native of Hampton Roads, I have spent over 27 years as the owner of a property management company. As such, I have been involved in every level of business development, marketing, performance improvement, leadership and business expansion. My years in management and my entrepreneurial pursuits have given me the tools to work to find the best solution (or solutions) to assist my clients with any situation. I strive to be a compassionate, friendly and, if necessary, a humorous listener and advocate for my clients.After selling my business and staying home with my teenage boys, it was time for me to find a new role I was passionate about. After a conversation with a life long family friend, Greg Garrett, I moved forward with becoming a licensed REALTOR. With a knowledgeable and experienced mentors, I have achieved an place in the Outstanding Sales Club with Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors (VPAR) every year, earning a second Gold Award in 2021. A graduate of Old Dominion University (BS Marketing), I continued my education and training in interior design, home staging and professional organization. I learned the meaning of hard work, ethics, honesty and entrepreneurship from her father who also owned his own business for over 45 years. A couple of years after retirement, he became a real estate agent in the Hampton Roads area. I am so proud to walk in his shoes.

Lagniappe, a French creole word meaning 'a little something extra', continues to offer a varied and unique mixture of home goods, garden art, clothing, as well as, art, jewelry, paint classes and a great place for locals to gather for good conversation.

ALCO, Inc. is a Virginia Beach firm specializing in the development, acquisition and management of self storage facilities throughout the Hampton Roads area, as well as, Williamsburg, VA and Fredericksburg, VA. As co-founder, Sherry's responsibilities were as varied as handling all HR issues, establishing company policies, training new employees, as well as, ongoing training in areas such as customer service, marketing techniques and computer software. In addition to management of self storage facilities, Sherry was involved in the layout and design of new development, the interior design and/or redesign of both the private and public spaces of each facility. Sherry left ALCO, Inc. in December of 2012 with the goal of establishing a new business to pursue her passions in interior design and art.
