Public Safety has been my life for over 40 years. Continuing to be a voice for 9-1-1 and telecommunicators is my goal. There is no greater honor than to be a catalyst for those who serve. They are the vital link, the first responder, and the telecommunicators who never fail to answer the call for help, not knowing who and what will be on the other end. Professionals always prepared, always willing to take on the task at hand, our everyday heroes. Each and every day, telecommunicators arrive with a new “box of chocolates” never knowing what they will get when they answer a citizens call for help, respond to a field unit in need, or search through sensitive data so everyone goes home safely. Many times the outcome can be bittersweet, but the rewards for being the ultimate public servant always remain sweet. Sherry
