Responsible for submissions for eligibility for interment in a National Cemetery. This involves research using different modes of information, to determine eligibility for placement for veterans, wives and children in our National and State Cemeteries. Research opportunities are used for the vast number of Missing in Action Program submissions of cremated remains of veterans who for one reason or another, were left in storage at funeral homes, city public crypts and other locations. I also process denials, for explanation to families and next of kin, why their loved one is not eligible for placement. I love helping veterans!

Helping veterans to pre-determine their eligibility for burial benefits before the time of need.

National Cemetery Administration, Central Scheduling Office. Responsible for determining eligibility, establish cases and schedule internments for veterans and their spouses. This involves extensive communication with family members, many of whom are grief stricken. Also deal with funeral directors and the general public. Use BOSS system to establish case and when case is 100% in compliance with VA NCA regulations, transfer to the chosen cemeteries. A knowledge of Cemetery regulations and how they operate, along with VA regulations regarding eligibility requirements is required.
