I am a beloved presenter, storyteller and educational leader. I bring a wealth of experiences based on 38 years of dedicated work with children and families. I have sat at the table with innovative thinkers, surrounded myself with creative artists and I use current research to inform my practice. Building relationships, using trauma informed practices and “reconcilli-action” are at the core of my many lived experiences with children, families, adult learners. Through stories and conversations, my presentations will have you laughing, sharing and thinking deeply about the important work we do. In July of 2024 I released my first children's book Featuring captivating real-life images, readers will witness each animal in its natural habitat, offering a close-up view of their beauty and behavior. Through the inclusion of Michif vocabulary and pronunciations, children will not only learn about the animals but also gain insight into the rich linguistic heritage of the Métis people.

At this elementary school I was an Early Childhood Teacher in an Early Entry Classroom. In this position I welcomed children ages 3 - 5 in a learning through play environment. Engaging the children in rich learning experiences considering all domains of their learning. I collaborated with other early years professionals and used the Flight Curriculum: Play, Participation and Possibilities Framework as a guide to my professional practice.

Wood Buffalo

As the Regional Collaborative Services Manager (RCSD) I worked with 4 school divisions to coordinate services and ensure collaboration and equity. In this role, I coordinated the delivery of key services to children within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. These services included allocation of professional resources, including; Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychological services, Counselors, Mental Health Therapists Psychologists. In addition, I facilitated professional development, budget management and post wildfire training services to the region of Wood Buffalo school divisions.

The delivery of courses included face to face and on line learning as well as a number flexible learning options for students. I was responsible for supporting 10 students who had been coded with one or more of the following; Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The goal was to ensure students were integrated into regular course work as much as possible with support. I also delivered unique programming to grade 9 students through Religion classes teaching a course focusing on morality and positive self image.
