As the Silver Tea Chair for St. Germaine Children’s Charity, I have the honor of leading our signature annual fundraiser, held each December to benefit abandoned, abused, and neglected children in San Diego County.Key Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Silver Tea, overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution.• Collaborate with the Underwriting Chair to manage sponsor and underwriting campaigns, ensuring updated materials for mail outreach.• Conceptualize and direct the event’s theme, colors, and décor in partnership with a graphic designer to create invitations and promotional materials.• Lead a dedicated committee of 35 volunteers, organize regular meetings, assign specific tasks, and ensure smooth coordination.• Manage logistics, including venue arrangements, catering, rental contracts, and day-of-event operations, ensuring the home will be left spotless post-event.• Work closely with the Auction Chair to oversee the collection and organization of donated items for the silent auction, helping raise essential funds for the cause.• Deliver event updates at monthly board meetings and coordinate with the VP of Publicity for media outreach, press coverage, and social media.• Facilitate a walkthrough of the event venue to finalize logistics and prepare the team.• Represent the Silver Tea at related events, including the “Cocktails and Conversation” in October, promoting engagement and donations.• Provide financial reports and conduct post-event analysis in collaboration with key stakeholders, delivering recommendations for future success.This role allows me to channel my passion for philanthropy into an event that makes a lasting difference in the lives of children in need, working alongside a dedicated team to create meaningful impact.

Las Patronas is a philanthropic organization with a long history of giving. Since its inception in 1946, Las Patronas has donated more than $19 million to over a thousand charitable institutions in San Diego. The funds distributed to these organizations are generated through year-long fundraising efforts and the annual presentation of the Jewel Ball, one of San Diego’s most enduring social, cultural, and philanthropic traditions In 2017 Las Patronas Jewel Ball was named one of "The Best Fetes" in San Diego by Modern Luxury San Diego. All funds raised by Las Patronas stay in San Diego County and are distributed to many small grass-root nonprofits as well as larger, more visible organizations. By giving to Las Patronas, a company or individual diversifies its philanthropic giving – reaching children and seniors, the homeless and the disabled, emergency response teams and the military as well as supporting scientific research, health services, the environment and cultural arts – in a broad geographical range throughout San Diego.

President was a yearlong job which consisted of community relations, planning and executing monthly board and general meetings, managing budgets, personnel matters for 50 volunteers (including job assignments)Adept at working with Quickbase, a database management software, to track information on over 6,500 records of Las Patronas supporters and grant applicants.Event Planning - Chair of Arrangements Committee. Coordinated planning, budgeting, vendors and management of all aspects of producing the Jewel Ball. Communicated with booking agency to hire band and other entertainment for the Jewel Ball. Firmed up the event timeline including transportation, set-up and meals for entertainers.Handled reservations for the Jewel Ball which has an attendance of 800 people.
