I have worked for both TV and print media in Hong Kong. I was drawn to journalism in 1996 when I joined Cable TV English channel, Hong Kong Now. The channel was aired at the CNN channel of Cable TV. In 1998, I moved to the Hong Kong Standard as its features writer. Two years later in August 2000, I joined the South China Morning Post (SCMP) as its features writer. In the Post, I built my strength in writing social issues. A year later, I was promoted to Senior Features Writer. In early 2006, I moved to news as their Senior News Writer. In early 2008, I moved to court reporting. In 2008, I left SCMP and worked as a freelance writer, writing for publications including SCMP, The Straits Times and The Business Times. Since 2011, I have focused on financial stories. Over the years, I have covered different financial topics, from MPF, financial planning, accounting and general economic and financial stories. I have worked for different financial magazines, including MPFexpress published by Towers Watson, ACCA AB Magazine, Advisors Today published by Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK), and Participants, a Chinese financial magazine run by Hong Kong Securities Association.
