Service above self in community advancement has been a passion throughout my family for decades, so I set out to pursue community development. I was honored to serve the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce community beginning in 2011 and fell in love."Love and work. Work and love. That's all there is." Sigmund FreudI was honored to build and implement a BRE program jointly with the City, advocate to secure nearly half of the annual funding for the Tourism Bureau that the City was attempting to strip, partner to implement a community wide branding initiative... to name a few things during my hometown service tenure. The IL Small Business Development Center honored me with the Community Champion Award.Today I lead the Mason Deerfield Chamber and Community Development Corporation. My first five years enabled us to implement and execute a strategic plan, transform the brand of the former organization to drive clarity and purpose for our future, and lay the foundation to become a tenacious Chamber obsessed with fighting for a prosperous tomorrow. My past five years have including the co-founding and building of a connected community development corporation that is leading to greater impact in our community. I can't wait to see where our members and community lead us. Please allow me to reintroduce myself to you often as I am growing professionally every single day. I am known for my resilience, work ethic, and enfranchising my constituents. According to the Gallup StrengthsFinder, I am strong in the Woo! I'm known to smile a lot and I never meet a stranger. I love to help people and connect them to whatever it is they may need, personally and professionally.
