Responsible for Sales and Operations for North India

I am currently spearheading India business operations with people spread across the country, the top line having grown under my leadership from a scratch and the business being profitable. I hold the distinction of being the 2nd employee to join the organization, with the assigned critical task of providing leadership to the business during inception & establishment stages. My role was pivotal in identifying business opportunities, preparing the business roadmap and overseeing implementation of the same, being instrumental in proactively addressing risks and mitigating the same.During the early years, I was involved in setting up the operations from grounds up including the 2 manufacturing facilities in Manesar & Chennai and offices across the country across varied locations. Subsequently, I was responsible for designing SOPs, establishing processes, procedures & standards and ensuring adherence with internal as well as statutory compliance across procurement, production, EHS policies & practices among other functions. I have also been instrumental in cascading a culture of ownership and high performance through multiple strategic initiatives, engagement programs and leadership development measures. Another key aspect of my role includes the entire branding & marketing strategy from ground up, ensuring effective control mechanisms to enable the organization to be perceived as a strong upholder of values and growth. My role across people development & engagement has also been vital over the years. I have successfully built, enabled & managed a team, ensuring high level of engagement, enablement & performance. Additionally, I have also been engaging actively with customers, liaising with the government and collaborating with cross-functional resources for driving seamless business operations. Active collaboration with the corporate and ensuring sync between regional as well as global initiatives & objectives has also been a major part of my responsibilities here.

During this tenure, I was among the first few employees within the organization, having played a pivotal role in setting up the organization and operations for the construction chemicals business across Northern part of India. I was accredited for providing able leadership in designing & execution of the strategy that led to scaling up the business from a scratch while handling all 7 product lines for the India business across the region. I was supported by a team of people encompassing Sales Engineers and Field Service team to ensure achievement of business objectives. I was also instrumental in setting-up and managing a wide network of Service Contractors / Specialist Applicators for promoting product application technologies related to waterproofing, repairs and rehabilitation. My role was decisive in the business growth for the newly set up operations along with representing the company during technical presentations for approvals from major public & private sector organizations, architects and technical consultants. I also collaborated extensively with cross-functional resources and ensured alignment of activities to drive coherent business operations towards common planned short-term as long-term objectives.

These were the early years of my career. I gained hands on exposure to multiple aspects of the indutry during the tenure.
