I left my last Corporate job in Sport Singapore in end Feb 2016 to spend more time with my family. With focus around 3 young kids, I took a big leap of faith to embark on an entrepreneurial journey by opening up my first SUBWAY restaurant at Ubi Blk 302 in Jun 2016, subsequently 2nd outlet at Blk 27 Bendemeer in Oct 2017 and 3rd outlet at The Poiz Centre in Mar 2021. Background of my Corporate Career :Began career in The Regent Hotel and later joined World Trade Centre S'pore to take charge of WTC Convention Centre, Harbour Pavilion and events in exhibition halls. - attained the highest revenue and utilisation rate in 1997 for the WTC Convention Centre.Moved on to join the Singapore Expo's pioneer team in 1998. - Instrumental in generating new businesses and improving services in Expo which resulted in increased revenue, utilisation of halls and visitorship.- utilisation increased close to three-fold by 2008 - headed the tender in creating Flavours East F&B concept in Singapore Expo and oversaw it to fruition. Joined S'pore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC) in Aug 2008 to Dec 2010.- promoted from Deputy to Director (Youth Olympic Village) @NTU after 8 months on the job with SYOGOC. -As a team, the YOV received overwhelming success and generous praises from all client groups and stakeholders such as the International Olympic Committee (IOC).- Shortly after YOG, I was appointed consultant of IOC to assist in planning of Innsbruck 2014 YOG.Joined Sport Singapore from 2011 to 2016.- Involved in the Corporate Strategy Dpmt to conceptualise how relevant Sport can be for Youth, Working Adults, Families, Community and Nation as a whole.- Headed the Events Dept responsible for sport grant management and working with stakeholders to develop a vibrant Sporting Calendar with local, regional and international events.- Part of the bid committee along with STB to win the bid for WTA 2014-2018In Sports front, - involved in Gymnastics won the individual all-round National Gymnastics C'ship twice and was selected to represent Singapore for ASEAN Schools Gymnastics C'ship in 1984 in Manila. - In recognition of sport excellence, was awarded 4 times National Colours Award and 6 times North Zone Colours Award.- became a qualified International Gymnastics Judge from 1993 to 2004 and was invited 5 times to judge at SEA Games and many other local, national and regional competitions.
