Improving healthcare quality and safety is of paramount concern to both patients and physicians. However for healthcare organizations to financially survive, quality and safety programs must be prioritized and outcomes maximized. I have been deeply involved in multidisciplinary improvement efforts to reduce hospital acquired conditions and have served as Physician Champion on multiple initiatives including EPIC EMR transition, Sepsis protocols, and Medical Director of our Primary Stroke Center. I am well versed in team leadership and project management. I am dedicated to reducing patient harm while improving hospital performance and reportable metrics. As a practicing hospitalist I have witnessed problems on the front lines and seen firsthand how solutions affect outcomes. I would like to continue to lead change and expand the role of quality into population health management.
