I work to solve problems on a wide variety of control valves from small valves that go into SCBA to large manifold type valves used to regulate and deliver gases in hospitals. I also work with sumps, noiseless water heaters and numerous types of valves.

Work on all phases of mirror quality from launch through service.

Provide instruction for refresher classes to take the American Society for Quality examinations for Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Mechanical Inspector, and Certified Calibration Technician.

Work with Suppliers and Receiving Inspection to ensure delivery of high quality parts to shop floor.• Prepare daily and monthly scrap reports for management review and analysis. Developed Excel spreadsheet using macros to enable timely reports including relevant information. • Developed Excel spread sheets for use in Receiving Inspection to improve efficiency and maintain skip lot sequencing, reducing errors due to paper record storage and retrieval• Supervised Receiving Inspection and Gage Inspector to ensure adequate resources. Assisted in RI, as needed, to ensure timely processing of uncertified parts for production.• Determined need for vision inspection system, evaluated available systems, worked with inspectors to determine the best fit, and wrote proposal for purchase of the equipment.• Handled day-to-day supplier quality issues, issue supplier corrective action requests, nonconforming material reporting, and supplier contact.• Work with associates at all levels to develop quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and forms and ensure documentation control and review in the system.• Lead auditor at Forest City, responsible for audit planning, execution, and reporting.• Perform supplier audits for divisional suppliers. Issue reports and corrective actions based on the results. Performed control chart training for supplier (when requested) to improve the quality skills of the operators and ensure high quality parts delivered to Forest City.
