Shevawn Hardesty has been providing financial management and leadership for technology organizations for over 25 years. She works with emerging technology companies as their CFO on a consulting basis or on staff. Shevawn has closed ten rounds of venture funding totaling over $70 million as well as multiple rounds of debt financing. Shevawn manages the financial aspects of her client companies, including business and financial planning and analysis; raising capital; financial and operational reporting to management and the Board; cash flow management; implementation of financial and accounting systems and operations; and risk management. In addition, she hired and trained the financial and administrative teams and oversaw HR, information services, legal and facilities.Shevawn has been on the management team as CFO for five technology companies that were acquired at favorable values by public companies. Shevawn joined these companies as they were receiving their initial financing. She worked with management to grow the value of these companies and played a key role in the sale process, including negotiation, due diligence and closing of the sale. Prior to her work with emerging technology companies, Shevawn held positions as VP, controller and financial director at several well-known financial organizations. At Fidelity Investments, Fleet Bank and Blue Cross MA, Shevawn oversaw the financial planning and accounting and served as a financial advisor to senior management for the IT groups. At Fleet Bank, she also served as the division head for the operating division providing bank wide administrative and logistics support.
