I have twenty years’ experience working within the financial management function of both the Oil & Gas and Media Industries. Geographic exposure includes working within the United Kingdom for ten years as well as South Africa. My roles have included regional responsibility for divisions/units based in Kenya, Nigeria, the United States of America, Brazil, Australia, China, and France.During my time with BP I was seconded onto a project team where I was tasked with the design, construction, and implementation of a finance tool to be utilised for actual vs. budget analysis. This was implemented across all functions within the Corporate Segment of the company and provided fundamental analysis for the Head of the Corporate Segment of the company.Upon my return to South Africa I took up the role of Management Accountant for Endemol South Africa. In this position I managed the financial aspects of many large scale and diverse projects across the African continent. I also successfully cleared the backlog of audit requirements that had existed prior to my employment.Since 2015 I have worked as the Head of Finance for Afrokaans Film & Television. I have overseen the successful production of numerous local and international productions. I have experience with funders such as Electronic Media Network and Media 24 within South Africa as well as foreign clients such as The British Broadcasting Corporation and Amazon Prime.I am motivated, adaptable, and responsible. I am a proven problem solver and enjoy being challenged. I am very much process minded and always learn, understand, and plan before implementing any process to achieve my desired outcome.
