About Shiama Thiageswaran

I am a dedicated scientist and educator with expertise in data analysis, stakeholder management, and scientific communication.During my graduate studies, I managed a research project relating to stem cells, male fertility preservation, regenerative medicine, biotherapeutics, and assisted reproductive biotechnology development. I developed systems to grow porcine spermatogonia in <1 year, and authored a primary research article based on my research, which was published in 2022. I also mentored junior students and supervised an award-winning undergraduate summer research project. Through my career in basic science research, I have developed an interest in translational and clinical research, digital health, public health policy, and regulatory compliance. I have also worked for many years as a tutor for high school and undergraduate students in mathematics and science courses. In this role, I build and maintain relationships with clients, identify their needs using assessments and surveys, and teach technical information and study habits to students at various knowledge levels.I enjoy examining complex problems and investigating novel, effective solutions.
