I, Shika Pearson, pursued M. Tech in Transportation Engineering from RIT, Kottayam in 2023. I completed graduation in Civil Engineering from Government Engineering college, Kozhikode in 2020. I am currently working at Square Projects c/o Square Associates, a construction company at Kakkanad, Kochi. I am managing all projects, coordinating with different agencies, clients, PMCs, Architects, Square project team, Daily interaction with Clients, Billing procedure, Material indent preparation, Preparing MAR and getting Material and Shop drawings approvals from client / architects, maintaining discipline at site with the subcontracts supervisory team and Dealing with various vendors, collecting quotes and negotiating, comparison preparation, Vendor finalisation, Drafting Work order preparation. All site meetings, meetings with different agencies, Govt officials and clients is under my scope of duties. I have to submit detailed project update to directors, including fund management, work planning and scheduling, tender documents preparation, drawing preparation etc. The projects I am dealing with includes:1. Construction of Primary Health Centre, Kalpeni, Lakshadweep (Going on)2. Construction of CFC Building, Ambalamugal (KBIP- KRDCL Project)3. Construction of Taluk hospital at Kayamkulam (Kerala Govt - NHM - Project)4. Construction of Dr. Rafeeq's Skin Clinic Calicut - Interior workIn 2020, I worked at Reyansh construction as Project co-ordinator for 1 year and as Faculty at Reyansh Academy for 4 months. My job responsibilities were Site Visit, handling permit drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating team members, instruction etc. I had done my internship at ITSPE, Hyderabad with Transportation Engineering team and learned how to prepare junction networks using SUMO software and simulation. I'm doing my project on the topic Analysing the effects of Pelican push button at midblock crossing. Since, I'm a fresher in Transportation field, I'm looking for better opportunity to apply my skills in planning, finding innovative solutions and solving problems in a better way.
