The Connect (eBanking) program of work is the initiative to rebuild the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s eBanking platform and deploy re-designed customer access layers across each of mobile smartphone and tablet devices.Over the two-year engagement, Shikhar managed the program office and was fundamental in transforming this program from a single release waterfall project into a complex, multi-stream monthly customer release program based on Scaled Agile Framework. He designed and delivered the dynamic multi-release program framework predicated on Agile (Scrum) delivery principles that successfully delivered five monthly releases between September 2014 and March 2015 which resulted in uptake of Bank’s eBanking service.Shikhar managed the $40M program budget, ensuring the accuracy of program financial management and reporting to meet organisational, governance and change control requirements. The program required multiple organisational functions to provide resources for successful delivery. He captured and harnessed these multiple streams by facilitating/negotiating dedicated resources with line managers to ensure that the monthly customer release schedule was met every time. As a result of this project, Telstra achieved a tenfold increase in its capacity to track and predict customer behaviour and deliver more tailored offers to its customers, resulting in improved customer service, retention and loyalty.
