The main tasks include:• Analysed, designed, and developed the Android tablet application (The Tablet Enhancement Project for Defect Management and Handover Process) to improve the housing defect inspection process.• Responsible for transforming early model Android tablets into work devices available for inspectors.• Developed a solution to enable inspectors to complete all inspection tasks without an internet connection, including identifying and marking defects, marking floor plans, writing comments, and taking photos.• Introduced a feature that allows inspectors to bring up all items that need inspection in a room with a single click when selecting a room, making it easier for inspectors to locate the items to be marked.• The tablet device allows all data entered by inspectors to be downloaded directly to the defect management and handover system, eliminating the need for data entry personnel to participate in data transfer, significantly reducing the possibility of human error.Accomplishments:• The tablet application successfully enhanced the housing defect inspection process, saving time during the inspection process.• The project stood out among over 60 internship projects and more than 100 students, winning the Accenture Award for Best Internship Project.• Keppel Land was satisfied with the work results and plans to use this type of equipment for property inspections in China.
