Being part of the Wipro's Digital Unit, which focused on niche skills like that of Python, AI and Cloud technologies gave me great opportunities to learn from Data Scientists, work with them on experimenting and building solutions on Python and Machine Learning, specifically Natural Language Processing. Started my learning with all algorithms for Machine Learning and then proceeded to improve my skills in data cleaning, data processing and data training as I realised the importance of clean and relevant data when working on real world solutions.Further work led to my first chance of leading an AI team of engineers to focus on building AI POCs and solutions with the help of Microsoft Azure's Machine Learning Solutions on Vision, Speech, Search and Knowledge and Language. The role title 'Technologist' stood out from the regular roles of a software engineer. Through my experience, I understood what it meant - it involved being a software engineer and data scientist with hands on coding, a trainee learning from experienced and focused Data Scientists, a team lead owning solution delivery and guiding my budding engineers on technical and soft skills, a solutions consultant interacting with leaders and engineers from customers like HP, Comcast and Schlumberger to learn their diverse domains, identify pain points and process improvements, build and demo POCs and work on iterations towards a successful solution.

The concept of document and graph databases stayed my favourite.
