About Shilpi Mukherjee, Ph.D.

As a doctoral researcher from the University of Arkansas, I have over eight years of experience in designing and optimizing power modules. My research focuses on developing hardware validated design rules that consider high voltage aspects like partial discharge, while making power modules more compact and efficient. I helped build PowerSynth, an electronic design automation software, and used it to implement the design rules and optimize power module layouts for material, voltage, and geometry.I have also gained valuable skills and knowledge in working with ANSYS products, python scripting, clean room work, and high voltage testing. As an intern at ANSYS, I compared the frequency response of structures in HFSS and SIwave, two of their high frequency FEA products. I learned about signal integrity, frequency response, s-parameters, git features, 2.5D vs. 3D simulations, and electric field simulations. Prior to my PhD work, I conducted life cycle analysis of solar cells, making the community aware of the recycling aspects of solar panels. I have published my research findings in prestigious journals and conferences, and received the Doctoral Academy Fellowship for my academic excellence. I am passionate about addressing societal needs through advanced technology.
