About Bob Shimmin

My name is Bob Shimmin and I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to address their technology needs. I am looking for opportunities as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or Network/IT Specialist to utilize my twenty-three years of experience working in the IT profession. Constantly keeping up on technology, I implement creative and persistent problem solving techniques. Knowing where to go for answers, I am a regular resource for my co-workers. I work for a community college district Information Technology Department and was chosen from among my co-workers by the College President to receive the Presidents Certificate of Merit Award for exemplary IT service. My multi-tasking skills have helped me fulfill increasing IT duties, as well as, manage up to 15 student workers in the college's main computer lab for 11 years. I lived in Switzerland for two years and am fluent in German. I would love the opportunity to use my technical experience to help a company meet their IT goals, in Switzerland or Germany.
