Product ManagerBatchbook Jan 2014 - Aug 2018VirtualTL;DR: Streamlined decision-making processes, Empowered skilled employees to contribute their best work, Moved projects along on schedule, foreseeing possible sticking points, Removed barriers to agile developmentAs Product Manager at Batchbook, I coordinated the efforts of designers, engineers, and senior staff to deliver projects that were complete and ready for marketA common problem was communication and decision-making. I streamlined the decision-making process, focusing the teams around their goals and helping the senior team focus on big-picture needs vs having to weigh in on every detailBy acting as the glue for various teams, I was able to empower skilled employees to do their best while I handled the details of moving the project forward on scheduleThrough various projects, I was able to oversee a sizeable reduction in app attrition and an overall improvement in our net promoter score -

Marketing AnalystBatchbook Sep 2010 - Dec 2013When I began working at Batchbook, we didn't have a lot of insight into important analytics. One of the roles that I created was Marketing Analyst. In this role, I oversaw the implementation of better tracking for both our website and our app. This included improving our Google Analytics implementation, and starting from scratch with Kiss Metrics. Part of my role was reporting on our KPIs and making suggestions for improvement. By the time I handed the role off (because I took on a new role) we had a lot better insight into our customer acquisition funnel as well as how users were using our app. These metrics helped in all of our decision making. -
Customer ExperienceBatchbook Sep 2010 - Aug 2011VirtualI started at Batchbook on the Customer Experience team. This meant I got to support our customers when they had questions, and help them get more out of using our CRM software. As a member of the Customer Experience team, I was able to take on several added responsibilities, in addition to handling email support on a daily basis.I also conducted support webinars. This included working on new webinar scripts and working closely with the product to find the best areas to highlight in specific training webinars. Another responsibility was to conduct one on one onboardings over the phone with new customers. This required a good listening ear and great knowledge of what Batchbook could do. In addition, I would often submit blog posts to the marketing team, and I helped to rewrite and add to our extensive knowledge base. Working directly with customers was a very rewarding experience, and the things I learned on the Customer Experience team have helped me in all of my later roles at Batchbook. -

Marketing And ManagementSaber Services, Inc. Sep 1999 - Dec 2009Clyde, NyI worked with my family in this business since I was a little kid. After high school and college, I started working here full time, first as a delivery driver, then in sales, and finally moving into a manager role. As this is a small business, I wore many hats. I headed up all marketing efforts, including developing the company website, starting an event marketing effort, and developing marketing materials.I also handled the bookkeeping for several years, primarily accounts payable and receivable. For a couple of years I hit the road as a salesman breaking open a new territory. This involved a lot of stops at schools, our primary customer. As I did sales, I developed new ways to attract customers, so I didn't have to rely just on cold calls. This involved marketing techniques such a hosting informational dinners in the area. I also helped manage the business, including working with delivery drivers on scheduling and managing packaging crews. Part of my responsibility included staying on top of inventory which was stored in multiple locations. In all of these endeavors, I set it as my goal to learn the current system and then to improve on it.
