Shin Yagisawa is one of the few life reinsurance business development experts in Japan. Shin has been contributing to the growth of Japan reinsurance market for a decade and produced some memorable deals during that period. Shin is now taking on another challenging journey, running Japan representative office of ParnerRe Life & Health, where once again he is committed to build and deepen partnership/relationship with insurance companies operating in Japan. Prior to reinsurance world, Shin had been committed to bancassurance business in Japan, experiencing both insurer and bank operation. Shin is one of the few people who can look at the business from both angles. Before PartnerRe, Shin built up his career at RGA from 2012 as business developer, and had contributed to Japan business growth for most notable period. Prior to RGA, Shin worked for Tokyo Star Bank, serving as Head of Bancassurance. Shin also had acquired his insurance foundation knowledge and expertise at two global insurance companies, AXA and ING. He started his career at Sanwa Bank (now MUFG Bank).Shin graduated from Gakushuin University, where he majored in law, and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Durham University Business School in the U.K.
