Shiny Lee is a creative director at Whatever. She was born in Taipei, nurtured in Tokyo, and trained in New York, with a BA degree from Waseda University and an MFA degree from Parsons School of Design. She has interned at Rhizomatiks and worked as a designer at PARTY before joining Whatever, where she created award-winning campaigns for brands like Uber Eats and 7-Eleven. She is also the co-founder of the Taiwan Emoji Project, a project that promotes, explores, and translates the Taiwanese experience into the universal pictorial language. Her accolades include awards at Spikes Asia, One Show Greater China, D&AD, Young Lions Taiwan, Adobe Design Achievement Awards, LIA Chinese Creativity, Effie Greater China, AdFest, ADC Awards, Clio Awards, New York Festivals, YouTube Works Awards, and AD STARS. She was appointed judge of the Cannes Lions, One Show, Spikes Asia, YouTube Works Awards, LIA Chinese Creativity Show, ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards, One Asia Creative Awards, AD STARS, ADC Annual Awards, One Screen Short Film Festival, and Digital Singularity Awards. Shiny is also a frequent speaker at creative conferences such as Taiwan Creativity Week and Taipei International Digital Advertising Festival, and a part-time professor at the Department of Communications Design at Shih Chien University.
