Lead a division of 68 junior sailors in the successful completion of qualifications, training, reactor operation, and corrective/preventive maintenance for CVN-71's 2016 Pier side Extended Availibility (PEA)Provided coordination between Ships Force (SF) and Shipyard (SY) for maintenance items, including Primary & Secondary Prime Standard Alignments, material deficiency reporting and correction, and Reactor Controls I&C equipment grooming during CVN-71's PEA.Cleared twelve, high visibility, Material Condition Assessment Process (MCAP) tags in the Reactor Compartment to ensure that Reactor Controls Division met their Production Completion Date (PCD).Lead a team of highly motivated sailors, after finding several material discrepancies, in the cleaning and preservation of eight Reactor Controls Div. compartments to include the I&C equipment room, Reactor Compartment Ventilation inlet plenums, and the catapult steam accumulator compartment.

Leading a team of six personnel in the coordination of Task Group Instruction processing, to include proofreading, continuity checking, Work Authorization Form (WAF) tracking, Deficiency Report (DR) issuance, and verifying Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for six Pacific Fleet nuclear submarines.As a member of the Radiological Emergency Response Organization's (RERO) Field Monitoring Team (FMT), trained four new FMT members which directly lead to the FMT's Above Average grade on three separate RERO evaluation cycles.Proven, dedicated, hard worker through the round-the-clock support (2,168 man-hours) for the simultaneous certification of two submarine availabilities.

Naval Nuclear Power Training Unit - Charleston

After completing the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program's training pipeline, I was selected to become an instructor at the Moored Training Ship - 626 in Charleston. While there I qualified Shutdown Reactor Operator and Engineered Safeguards Feature Panel Operator. We spend two years in a Dry-dock Extended Maintenance Availability where I grew as an operator and technician. My watch-team and I, through diligent watch-standing, were able to find several severe equipment issues during Hot-Ops and Critical-Ops testing. This lead to the MTS-626 returning to operation without any personnel injuries.

Enjoyed a burgeoning career in the film and television industry, working with some of the best behind camera talent in the industry. As "Best Boy" I was responsible for managing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of film equipment and also the staffing for film crews. As an Electric, I was responsible for providing and maintaining electrical power as well as the setup and tear-down of all film lights. For four years, I worked in the film industry, growing my skills as a technician, manager, and leader.
