Served in an interim position as part of the Summit Series executive operating committee from February through July of 2020 - a tumultuous year full of deep learning, critical reflection, and exciting pivots for the Summit brand.From a friend and teammate formerly at Summit while in my earlier role: "Shira has been building the Summit team, brand and ethos for 7+ years. She is the VP of Product –– meaning she oversees development of all of Summit's different offerings, as well as oversees many of the important initiatives such as Diversity & Inclusion, Summit's Impact Initiative and various community engagement platforms. She was the Director of Programming where she built out Summit's unbelievable lineups and experiences. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, somewhere in between all of this work, she just got her Masters from Harvard. She is one of the most thoughtful, productive, efficient and brightest human beings I know...not only because of her impressive work with Summit, but also because she is committed to the other work –– the spiritual and personal work –– and I know her involvement could be monumental."

"20 Mentors. 100 days. 1 ship. 13 countries. 10 ventures. 1 belief that entrepreneurship will change the world."Unreasonable at Sea, a radical experiment in using global entrepreneurship to combat the greatest challenges of our time, took 10 startups on a voyage around the world to explore entrepreneurial ecosystems and new markets in 2013. As Associate Director I designed efficient, human-centered systems to facilitate smooth sailing across the globe and managed the day-to-day community operations while on board the ship.

An experiment and first stab at entrepreneurship by students at McGill University, Campus Swaps grew into a student-run organization on the McGill campus. The Campus Swaps model recycles goods from graduated students moving out in the spring to incoming students arriving in the fall, reducing waste and creating a sustainable campus system.Over the years, teams of student-entrepreneurs have developed and refined the model, creating an independent student group and a platform for students to experiment with social entrepreneurship.

Led the McGill student team to complete a data analytics project with the Montreal Children’s Hospital, under advisory of the global consulting firm, Accenture.

Taught children ages 4-6 basic skills of gymnastics.

As a liaison between research and marketing, I built dossiers and contact management systems, researched prospective customers, pursued cold leads and opportunities for the firm, and designed various marketing tools.
