The MIT Digital Currency Initiative (DCI) aims to create a future where moving value across the internet is as intuitive and efficient as moving information. Based at the MIT Media Lab, our team of independent open-source developers and experts in distributed systems, cryptography, security, and economics conducts the research necessary to advance the security, scalability, and privacy of digital currency systems. DCI serves as a neutral convener for governments, nonprofits, open-source developers, and the private sector. Current research priorities include the privacy, security, scalability, and accessibility of digital currencies.

Transforming military expertise into solutions for the commercial and civil sectors. Focus especially on international projects that utilize Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) solutions to address major threats to the environment, including elephant poaching and global warming.

Served on leadership team for one of the fastest-growing and most effective political lobbying groups in the US. Helped secure key votes needed to push the Iran-Nuclear deal through Congress in 2015, ultimately preventing the US from going to war with Iran. Directly managed 250+ donor and prospect relationships in 11 Mountain West states. Coached staff in 7 nationwide offices to meet stretch fundraising goals, creating strategic regional finance plans and tailored donor-engagement strategies. Launched new National Board Development Committee. Identified, recruited and lead a high-performance team of lay fundraisers to seamlessly partner with staff in effort to double major gifts from 2016 to 2021. Advised high net-worth Finance Committee members, guiding their political giving and advocacy to federal candidates and elected officials.

Directed diverse development program to expand donor base, strengthen institutional visibility, cultivate volunteer leadership in fundraising, and secure new major giving from internal and external stakeholders. Led all solicitation trainings and coached lay leaders through robust fundraising responsibilities. Set up infrastructure for a successful $10,000,000 capital campaign.

Transitioned institution from an event-based fundraising model to a donor-centered annual-campaign model. Exceeded campaign goals by 20% annually.

Co-created online home for radical feminist art and action to reclaim the Beauty of Old: www.birthingthecrone.com. Handled public relations, marketing and web design for art and education projects. Collaborated with universities and non-profits to produce exhibits and symposia on creativity and aging in the fine arts.

Coordinated new initiatives in young women's entrepreneurship and philanthropy education. Directed 18-person team through development and launch of a philanthropic retail startup. SmiThrift is still in business today.

Co-authored, starred in, and produced first-known theatrical adaptation of the Holocaust diaries of Etty Hillesum.
