Shiran Nicholson has been in the event industry since the early 1990's. In 1994 Shiran Started his own entertainment company providing music and entertainment for events which became Nicholson Events. Nicholson Events is a full event company that provides everything for events from Music, Entertainment, AV, Lighting, Games, Specialty Acts, Planning & Production.In 2019 Shiran Nicholson purchased a venue on the river in Bridgeport Connecticut, The Knowlton. A 50,000 square foot 3 Building campus that has 3 event spaces. One of the spaces is an 8,000 sq ft warehouse called the Boathouse with glass doors that lead to a 1,200 sq ft deck overlooking the river. The Boathouse has a capacity of up to 500 guests. The Knowlton is also surrounded by a project started by Shiran called "The Knowlton Walls" a mural park surrounding the 30,000 sq ft outside area at The Knowlton supported by the non profit Art and Culture Together.In April of 2020, in response to the shut down of the event industry, Shiran founding The Connecticut Event Industry Coalition to advocate for the shuttered event industry. Also in 2020 Shiran is working with the national Live Event Industry Coalition in forming a strong national coalition to represent and advocate for the event industry.Shiran Nicholson is also a DJ that has performed internationally for both clubs and private events. A visual artist as a photographer and director. In his free time Shiran has worked as a stunt man and actor.
