I value your time and will try to keep this section brief.I am a bioscience researcher at heart who is deeply in love with biomolecules, cellular processes, and the magic which transforms these inanimate molecular interactions into the wonderful thing called ‘life’. Growing up, I was intrigued by the nature and causes of genetic diseases and wished to pursue a career in related fields of biology. As I learned about the filed a bit more, I understood its potential to contribute in myriad other ways. Product development is one such discipline that excites me. I want to design and build products that would add value to our everyday life. I have 3 years of professional experience in ‘New Product Development’ team in a startup ecosystem. The field of biotech product development is challenging for various reasons and that adds just the right excitement in a researcher’s life. During my MBA, I got a taste of being a management consultant. It's another exciting profession and provides some opportunities in life sciences too. One of my long term goals is to serve as a strategy consultant for top firms. In my 7+ years in R&D, I have had a few brilliant days, multiple good days and very many not-so-good days which have taught me to be hopeful, resilient, patient and most importantly disciplined in my processes. I am an enthusiastic person who loves to take initiative, who thrives under positive pressure and who selflessly helps out her colleagues in need. However, I am also someone who values honesty and constructive feedback as that helps me become a better researcher, colleague and better person.In my free time, I love to watch cricket, football and tennis, practice origami, cook something edible (well I try!), listen to music and read non-fiction literature.
