As the Financial Controller of the Malaysia Backend Site, I am responsible for the overall financial and cost management of the Site. This include strategic planning, financial forecasting, analysis of performance to plan, providing data and information and making recommendations to the responsible Vice President and staff. This role is reporting to the Worldwide Backend Operation Controller and legally report to the Malaysia Backend Site Director. Key responsibilities :-• Manage Financial and Cost accounting functions of the company to meet reporting purposes on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Close collaboration with Share Service Center (Financial) and Worldwide Backend Operations Controlling Teams (Costing) in APAC HQ.• Manage budgets and financial forecast on quarterly basis for the site• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for local statutory and Corporate base requirements in accordance with the Local Gaap, USGaap, SOX and Tax regulation• Liaise with MIDA in managing the local tax incentives, grant applications and negotiations.• Ensure Global policy & procedures are practice in Site. Develop and maintain adequate controls, policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.• Provide timely and insightful financial support, data, analysis and business modelling for site operations, Global backend, corporate and business units for operational performance tracking and business decision making.• As a Business partner to the Operation and other Supporting departments• Develop and manage Organizational capabilities. Develop and manage team members’ performance, includes coaching, training needs, appraise and rewards, promote team work and etc.

The Finance Manager in the Hotel takes bigger roles and responsibilities other than the overall Finance Department. This inclusive of Payroll, Purchasing, Merchandising Outlets, IT, Inventory Store and Property Management Council.Accounting Department, Credit Administration, Payroll and Cashiering • Managing day-to-day finance operations. To lead the team in financial closing and reporting (month end and quarterly reporting). • Co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets.• Credit control• Manage cashflow of the company. • Review and ensure approved capital expenditure budgets are adhered to at all times.• Managing the cashiering at all F&B outlets and Minimarket. • Handle all matters related Payroll. Ensure all statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO and Income Tax are prepared and paid accordinglyPurchasing, Receiving, Cost control Departments and Store• Negotiate and review all contracts and agreements of the company• Manage the Purchasing department and ensure Policy & procedures are follow through• Complete, analyze and review all Outlets cost position• Manage the inventory of Food& Beverage store and Engineering store.Information Technology Department• Overseeing the department to ensure that all systems are supported (Front office, Accounting & Guest internet). Access and implement system enhancement and upgrades when needed.Property – Management Council• Ensure full set of accounts are properly accounted for accordingly to the Building Act633. As a Hotel Representative together with the General Manager to discuss about the management of the property with Joint Management CommitteesProjects Accomplished- Soft Refurbishment of the Hotel Apartments - Renovation for Hotel Rooms- Implemented New Payroll System - Setup of WIFI Internet Access for 8 Apartment Blocks and 1 Hotel Block- Upgrading of Laundry Facilities
