This position included working with many other paraprofessionals, communicating student needs and critical information to each other, as well as communicating with the public we encountered in the community. Multi-tasking was a necessity. Communicating with teachers, staff, speech and occupational therapist as well as parents and group homes was a daily requirement. I interacted with the community and many businesses as I assisted our students while they are working in the community. Tracking progress and charting information was a large part of my day. My favorite part of the job, and where my strengths were in this position, was listening to my student.
