As a BraveTech at UNCP, I provide tier 1 technology support for the campus community through the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Help Desk.Responsibilities:1) Diagnose and repair computer hardware and software issues for campus users.2) Install and configure various software applications to meet user needs.3) Troubleshot basic networking issues and ensure seamless connectivity for users.4) Deliver technical support via in-person walk-up locations, phone, email, and remote assistance tools such as BeyondTrust Remote Support.5) Track and resolve IT service requests using an IT Service Management system.6) Provide basic guidance to end-users for effective use of technology.Key Skills:1) Customer service and communication2) Computer hardware/software troubleshooting3) Networking fundamentals4) Remote IT support and ticket management systemsThis role allows me to grow as a reliable IT professional, contributing to the seamless operation of technology services on campus while gaining valuable experience for my future career in cybersecurity and IT support.
