Resource Mobilization and Transitional Politics Adviser to the DSRSG• Support the timely implementation of the Roadmap through the joint implementation secretariat, particularly Benchmark2 and Benchmark3 by working on the design and operationalization of the Constituent Assembly and provide technical support to the Interim Electoral Commission on supervising the selection of the parliamentarians• Provide strategic advice on political linkages with the TFIs around issues concerning development of the legal framework for adoption of the constitution and transition to a new political dispensation in August 2012 , particularly on transitional arrangements clauses in the new federal constitution• Provide formal written trend political Analysis to the Management on weekly basis and support the Political Unit on engaging with the Somali political actors including Emerging Administrations;· Identify potential resources and formulate project proposals in the relevant service areas by conducting background research, and preparing initial drafts and edit drafts following instructions from the Head of the Political Unit;· Develop an strategy on how to approach none traditional donors;· Create and maintain resource mobilization matrix, which contains all existing programmes as well as all potential programmes with funding gaps;• Support the resource mobilization efforts by improve the relationship between UNPOS and None-Traditional Donors towards the implementation of the Roadmap

Governance and Legal Adviser Constitution Project• Support the IFCC in conducting and commissioning legal research and analysis as well as development of knowledge based tools such as policy positions, briefing notes, concept papers and research papers on key constitutional issues, with a specific focus on Federalism and systems of Government.• Advise on the strategic, legal, policy and technical needs of the IFCC, its standing committees (legal drafting committee, public consultation committee and civic education committee) and special committees (thematic committees)• Draft briefing papers on the process and matters relating to contentious issues• Provide strategic policy and Legal advice to the IFCC on the transitional tasks and processes in the charter related to the constitutional development process• Provide strategic advice to IFCC and the Secretariat on public engagement with key target groups in general, and opposition groups and Diaspora in particular. Somali Institutional Development Project (SIDP)• • Assist relevant TFIs, particularly Parliament with the drafting of a legal framework for the constitutional process, including final adoption and other pre-transition arrangements• Drafted the UNDP Somalia’s parliamentary strengthening concept note for the Governance Programme• Provide technical assistance to TFIs on legislative drafting and political process reforms• Contribute to the authoring of the project document for SIDP 2011• Coordinate under the supervision of the Governance Program Manager on Transitional tasks• Coordinate the formation of Policy and Legislation Unit within the Prime Minister’s Office to undertake policy formulation and prioritization of TFG transitional policies• Draft option papers for the ending of transition and advice the programme on political ramifications of each option
