Head of Department of Materials leading a team of 20 including five direct reports in the managerial grade , in all procurement activities and Vendor Development including raw material stores. Managing the department having a total buying budget of 70 Crores per annum.· Also responsible for managing the raw material stores having over 12000 items .· Procurement covers imports, Castings ( Ferrous and non ferrous) , forgings , fabricated items, machined components , proprietary and general purchase items.Achievements· Undertook value engineering and cost reduction (through negotiations) projects resulting in saving 30 lacs in six months .· Successfully streamlined imports inventory and cost of importing by better planning
