Graduating with Honors in Civil Engineering ,joined Indian Railway Service of Engineers.He had rich experience on various key posts in the Railway Board, Southern, Northern, Central, North Eastern, East Central & Northeast Frontier Railway, Research Design and Standards Organization, Railway Staff College and Indian Railways Institute of Civil Engineering .Last position held was General Manager(Construction) Northeast Frontier Railway with additional charge of General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway.Currently, he is working as Advisor/RITES. He was deputed to Mozambique Railway through Rail India Technical & Economic Services and underwent training in Queensland Railway, Australia in Rail Operations. He attended Advanced Leadership Programme in Stern Business School, New York University. His major achievements were construction of new railway lines connecting Agartala (capital of Tripura ) on IR map, linking south bank of Bogibeel Bridge ,Gauge conversions from Katihar to Jogbani, Senchoa to Silghat , Haibargaon to Mairabari, Fakiragram to Dhubri, Yard Remodeling & Route Relay Interlocking at Katihar ,construction of Kamakhya station ,multistoried GM office building at Guwahati, construction of modern Sports Complex and Director’s bungalow at IRICEN. He was awarded Civil Engineering Construction Shield by the Hon’ble Minister of Railway.He spearheaded the implementation of ISO Quality Systems at Bridge Workshop, Jalandhar –first ISO certified Engineering Workshop and at IRICEN, Pune – first ISO certified Centralized Training Institute.During his career, he authored twenty papers. During his tenure at IRICEN, he transformed the quality of learning imparted at the Institute by bringing out 18 technical publications, 6 technical films, 5 e-Learning modules for being used as training material for Civil Engineers of IR.He was pioneer in implementing the novel concept of e-Learning – first on any of the Railway Training Institutes in India.Specialties: Project Management,Contract Management,Human Resource management
