Budget and Financial Management:- Helps to manage the program's budget (~60k per year), including preparing invoices for faculty contributions, submitting claims to the national Let's Talk Science office, and facilitating day-to-day expense claims with the UBC Finance Department.- Seeks out new & strategic funding opportunities, applies for grants and liaises with funders.- Coordinates with the Let's Talk Science National Office for funding, corporate sponsorship, publicity, and materials.- Prepares financial and activity reports, including the annual report.Stakeholder Relations:- Maintains a relationship with stakeholders and funders (UBC Faculties and Departments, Genome British Columbia, Let's Talk Science National Office, etc.), through ongoing dialogue, updates and production of an annual report to encourage connection and/or potential collaborations.- Liaises with community partners (e.g. after school clubs, summer camps, libraries, UBC departments etc.) across Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland area.- Ensures that UBC LTS is represented on both the UBC STEM Outreach Collective and steering committee of the annual BC Science Outreach Workshop.Program and Team Management:- In collaboration with the UBC LTS Leadership Team and LTS National Office playing a lead role in setting the ongoing strategic direction for UBC’s LTS program and strengthening the program’s long-term sustainability and success.- Works with the Volunteer and Internal Management Coordinator to oversee a team of 13 assistant coordinators who plan and deliver a wide range of eight scientific outreach programs run by Let's Talk Science at UBC. Leads and supports team to ensure target outreach and program quality goals are met.

Quantification of climate change impacts of selected construction material supply chainsResearch the existing stock of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and underlying Product Category Rules (PCRs) in selected material categories including wood, aluminum, and glass. Evaluate the accuracy and comparability of the population, identify top sources of embodied carbon impact variation in the supply chain, and provide estimates of the sensitivity of the embodied carbon impact of those supply chain factors.
