From last Feb 2018..Skill Highlights• Team management,strong decision maker• Knowledge on networking devices such as Hubs, Switch, Router and Bridges.• Knowledge on security devices IPS, IDS, Firewall, Proxy, DLP.• Good understanding on OSI reference model.• Basic understanding of different servers like DNS, DHCP, AD.• Good understanding of Concepts of Security, CIA, AAA.• Knowledge on TCP connection establishment and termination.• Familiar with different types of attacks, malwares.• Monitoring the alerts which are coming from different log sources from organization network such as IDS, IPS, AD, DNS, DHCP, proxy servers using SIEM.• Decide whether the incidence is true positive or false positive, if we find false positive alerts, we will recommend the SIM Admin to fine tune the Use Case.• If true positive then start analyzing the suspicious activity based on alert triggered. Then we will raise a ticket to the concerned team to remediate it.• Follow up the concerned teams for which the ticket is raised.• Drafting the shift handover by shift handover documentation.• Develop useful content (Reports/Dashboards/Correlation Rules/Watch list etc).• Develop and Document policies, processes and procedure for SOC operations.• Attending the weekly meeting like weekly ticket review, Performances review, with team members and all other meetings like platform and function with all the team.• Research on latest threats and vulnerabilities, derive Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and other intelligence and feed them into the analysis tools.• Generates the Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports to management.• Shift Schedule and handling the conflict within the team.
