π Dr. Shivalee D Email and Phone Number
I am an accomplished Post-Doctoral Fellow specializing in immunology and infectious diseases. With a strong background in scientific research, I have excelled in prestigious institutions worldwide, conducting impactful studies in my field.Currently, I am a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI-NIH) in Frederick, Maryland, USA. Under the guidance of Dr. Mary Kearney I am elucidating the integration of retroviral vectors used for gene therapy of cancer patients.Previously, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Aarhus University in Denmark, collaborating with STIPE therapeutics, Ltd. I researched the role of P62 in the early stages of STING activation for interferon release, contributing to our understanding of the innate immune response to viral infections.I obtained my Ph.D. at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Bauer. My doctoral research focused on cytosolic innate immunity during sepsis, studying membrane vesicles secreted by Gram-positive bacteria and their role in inflammasome signaling pathways.Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse skill set in biochemical techniques, molecular biology, microscopy, and spectroscopy. I am experienced in data analysis and bioinformatics and possess strong scientific writing and editing skills. In addition to my research accomplishments, I am dedicated to scientific outreach and mentoring. I founded "Path2PhD," a mentoring initiative for aspiring PhD students, and represent the National Postdoc Association (NPA) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). I have also shared my insights and experiences as a speaker and panelist in conferences and podcasts.I am driven by a desire to contribute to scientific knowledge and improve healthcare. Seeking opportunities in a dynamic research institute, I aim to continue my passion for scientific discovery, foster collaborations, and contribute to institutional and personal growth.Feel free to reach out to me at s.duduskar@gmail.com or shivalee.duduskar@nih.gov. I look forward to connecting with colleagues who share a similar passion for advancing scientific understanding and improving human health.
