Head Of Powertrain And Energy SystemsNvf Racing Sep 2023 - Sep 2024Singapore- Spearheaded the Powertrain division, overseeing mechanical and electrical components' integration and performance.- Conceptualized, engineered and manufactured a high voltage battery using high energy dense pouch cells.- Incorporated various electrical components, including a Battery Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with safety regulations.- Performance Improvement by reducing total battery pack weight by 50 kg compared to previous team iterations.- Designed battery pack with manufacturing capabilities in mind, enabling in-house assembly and disassembly within the lab.- Designed individual battery modules within high-voltage battery pack for enhanced modularity.- Data analysis of BMS data for setting strategical discharge rates for endurance runs- Conducted rigorous simulations, testing and documentation on battery module, subjecting it to 40g acceleration forces at mounting points.- Analysed simulation results to redesign mounts for enhanced structural stability and strategically modified materials where needed.- Simplified mounting process for ease of assembly, maintenance and cost/control -
Junior Vehicle Dynamics EngineerNvf Racing Feb 2023 - Sep 2023SingaporeIn my freshman year at NTU, I was chosen to represent the university in Formula Student UK for the first time. I became a part of a 15-member team, carefully selected from an initial group of 24 students spanning second to fourth years. With senior team members as mentors, I had designed various parts of the car using SolidWorks which were: Dashboard with integrated screen, Waterproof TSMPs Housing compliant to rules, Pre-Charge mount for the accumulator. Helped the team to make the car rule compliant as much as possible at the final stages of preparation before the competition at UK.Beyond design, I took on the task of sourcing a range of components. My responsibilities encompassed securing braking lines, acquiring crucial safety gear like the SA2020 Helmet, and obtaining a vital UL-94 V0 rated Firewall. This firewall served as a crucial safeguard, providing protection to the driver from potential risks related to the accumulator. Our first car had achieved 29th place in the design category. -
Vehicle Dynamics EngineerAutonomous Racing League Feb 2024 - PresentAbu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates- Specialize in optimizing suspension geometry of Super Formula chassis to enhance on-track performance.- Employ an advanced understanding of vehicle dynamics to fine-tune suspension systems and producing relevant reports- Implement precise adjustments aimed at achieving superior performance and reducing lap times.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to elevate team competitiveness in racing competitions. -
Ureca-Undergraduate Research AssistantNanyang Technological University Singapore Oct 2023 - Jul 2024SingaporeI am involved in a research project focused on the development of topology-optimized heating plates usingadditive manufacturing techniques. My role entails designing a heater that ensures consistent temperaturedistribution across its surface. This objective is accomplished through the simulation of convection designsusing the Ansys Fluent software. -
Student AssistantNie - Office Of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning Jan 2024 - Apr 2024SingaporeHandled day-to-day library reception duties and managed closing tasks for smooth operations. Utilized 3D modelling and scanning techniques like Photogrammetry and LiDAR to digitally preserve key areas of the NIE library. -
In-Plant Static Equipment Maintenance InternBpcl Kochi Refinery May 2023 - Jun 2023IndiaDuring my BPCL internship, I underwent comprehensive plant training in Maintenance, gaining insights into heat exchangers (including shell and tube designs), compressors, turbines, pumps, and storage tanks used in oil refineries.Throughout, I engaged with both static and rotary machines, learning about various pump types like centrifugal, positive displacement, and reciprocating pumps—learning their function, upkeep, and troubleshooting in refinery settings. The internship extensively covered shell and tube heat exchangers, diving into design, potential issues, and repair techniques, highlighting constant monitoring's significance.I delved into compressor intricacies, understanding reciprocating, centrifugal, and rotary screw compressors—grasping their operation, maintenance, and performance assessment.Guided by experts, I honed hands-on skills in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for rotary equipment—strengthening my ability to tackle mechanical challenges effectively. This BPCL stint provided deep comprehension of heat exchangers, compressors, and turbines in oil refineries, imparting not just practical skills but also profound insights into rotary machinery—firmly preparing me for a successful mechanical engineering career.
