I am graduate of Seneca College with a Child and Youth Worker diploma.My skills include but are not limited to; planning and implementing programs, documentation both written and electronic, preparing schedules and keeping all social media updated. I am a patient, calm, easy going person, I work well with others, and am found to be self motivated. What made me want to work in this type of field was a movie, ‘The Little Princess.’ When I was a young girl I watched this movie and saw how they treated the girls in the orphanage. I wanted to create a better environment for children who lost their parents, and have no relatives to take them in. At the time I did not know much about Child and Youth Care; however I knew I wanted to be in the ‘Helping field’. In high school I learnt more about the social services, and found that, that was where my academic strengths were. It interested me, and I wanted to find out what I could do to make this a safer community for children and youth.
